Arari
Example 1: excerpts from Arari I for haegum and violoncello and Arari II for haegum, two violins, viola and violoncello, showing the first half of each section borrowing material from Bach, Mozart, Schumann and Messiaen.
Kayagum
Example 1: movement 1, mm. 1-9, with vocal line touching on the pitches a perfect fifth above/below B4 followed by a descent to D4.
Example 2: movement 3, mm. 1-6, with repeated melodic motives and triplets indicating some Korean influence.
Suite pour piano “Les Douze Signes”
